ECM PCB Stator Technology opens new facilities in Mass. and Montana to meet demand for electric motor design

NEEDHAM, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Electric motor design and software company, ECM PCB Stator Technology, has relocated its headquarters to a newly constructed 6,000 square foot corporate headquarters in Needham Heights, Massachusetts, while concurrently relocating its operations to a new 5,000 square foot facility in Bozeman, Montana expanded.

The centers strengthen ECM’s upcoming global SaaS release and growing electric motor design and software business, serving customers across a range of electrified industries.

As ECM’s headquarters, the Needham Heights location features new applications engineering capabilities and a laboratory dedicated to the advanced integration of ECM’s PrintStator motor software into the customer’s design, prototyping and manufacturing processes.

The new Bozeman location includes expanded software programming resources and expands ECM’s capacity for PCB stator motor optimization, testing and R&D. Both new locations are equipped with resources to design, build and manufacture fully integrated motor solutions and to make program improvements to ECM’s PrintStator software platform. ECM has supported its facility expansion and business growth with additional talent, including several new hires to its engineering team.

The new offices in Needham and Bozeman complement several initiatives that will strengthen ECM’s capacity as a SaaS company to meet the design needs of next-generation electric motors worldwide.

ECM PCB Stator Technology will continue to expand its capabilities in the new year and will shortly announce the opening of a qualified manufacturing facility in partnership with a multinational electronics manufacturer. ECM is also poised to open its first international office, to be announced in the first quarter of 2023.

In Q4 2022, ECM began beta testing its design software PrintStator as a SaaS product with select partners ahead of a full release in 2023.

“The new facilities in Needham Heights and Bozeman will significantly expand ECM’s existing business and upcoming SaaS launch. This will further support ECM’s mission to extend the efficiency and sustainability benefits of PCB Stator’s axial flux electric motor technology at scale around the world,” said Brian Casey, CEO of ECM.
