That Horned Frogs remain in the top 5 as they remain ranked 4th in the nation according to the latest AP poll and 11-0 overall. This is the first time they have won 11-0 since 2010. They pulled off one of the craziest victories in college football history, a literal last-minute win over their rivals, the Baylor Bears.
I’m sure it shocked pretty much everyone Max Dugan led the Horned Frogs down the field, and just before time was up, Grab Kell drains the game winning. The Frogs won 29-28 to grab another comeback win, something they’ve grown very accustomed to by now! That win kept TCU’s college football playoff hopes alive and gave them an even better chance of going undefeated this season.
Baylor and TCU fought to the end and kept the game very intense. TCU struggled through many adversities as they had many sick or injured players. These included key pieces on the TCU’s offense such as: Derius Davis, who missed the whole game with a hand injury, and Quentin Johnson and Kendre Miller, who didn’t play the whole game. Those losses didn’t stop Max Duggan from giving up as he and the offense found a way to fight for the win. Maybe TCU likes in when the FOX Big Noon Crew is in town. They are now 2-0 this season when on site.
TCU will return home for their final game of the regular season and take over State of Iowa. The Cyclones have had a tough season this year, winning just one Big 12 game and just four games overall. You suffer a low scoring loss against an unranked player texas tech Team where the Cyclones lost 14-7.
After hitting baylor, The odds of TCU going undefeated in the season increased even more since they are missing only one regular season game and the Big 12 championship game. The question is will Will TCU be able to continue the energy and momentum and will all of their players be healthy and ready to go? I think TCU will be ready to take care of business one last time at home against Iowa State and go 12-0. The Cyclones have nothing to lose, however, and they want to end on a good note by knocking out a top-five team.
The Frogs will play the Cyclones on Saturday, November 26 at 3:00pm CDT in Fort Worth.
The odds makers gave TCU an advantage in this duel because they are still undefeated and have shown they can beat almost any team in any atmosphere. You’ll be playing an Iowa State team with decent defense but can’t find that much offense. The Horned Frogs are also ranked higher because they have one of the best offenses in the nation and have shown they can’t be stashed until the game is over.
The Horned Frogs have shown on numerous occasions this year that they don’t care about all the talk or the odds; They only focus on their goals and victory. TCU is just one regular season game and one Big 12 championship game away from going undefeated and potentially getting a ticket to the college football playoffs. The odds makers set the over/under at 47.5 points.
This game should be very exciting but also nerve wracking for TCU! Iowa State is one of two teams standing in the way of TCU getting a ticket to the College Football Playoffs. As for the state of Iowa, they really have nothing to lose but make some Horned Frogs cry. There’s no doubt they’re trying to beat a top-five team to wrap up their season.

TCU will look to start early, be more consistent and get the offense going again. They will also look to have their defenses boosted, as they have done several times before. The state of Iowa will try to continue its good defense and try to get its offense rolling. They will also try to slow down that powerful Horned Frog offense that has been slower for the past few weeks but has also proven that you can turn it on at any point in the game. Sonny Dykes The new culture at TCU continues to thrive, which is why he is considered Coach of the Year. We’ll have to see if the Carter Boys will perpetuate that culture and defeat the Iowa State Cyclones.
TCU struggled at Baylor; However, they were missing many key pieces. They also never slowed down and never gave up. TCU will keep fighting and winning no matter what it takes.
Kudos to Grab Kell, when he hit the game-winning field goal under great pressure. He did so after missing an extra point earlier in the second half. Kell ran onto the field with about 16 seconds left and, with no practice, kicked a 40-yard field goal.
The Carter Boys continue to wow the nation and play at a very high level. They’ll try to take care of business back home this weekend. TCU knows their goals and what they want to achieve. You don’t want to stop now.
