Snowfall possible in southeastern Iowa tonight

There may be snow tonight, mainly in the south-east

BE A LITTLE COOL. ZAIN, WHAT IS MAKING TODAY? YES SIR. YES. THE LARGE LOTS AROUND HILTON ARE NOT FUN TO WALK THROUGH IN THE COLD TEMPERATURES OUTSIDE THIS MORNING MIGHT BE A LITTLE FOG IN PLACES HERE, ERIC, ESPECIALLY IN THOSE PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL AND NW IOWA, IN FACT CRESTON HAS TO THE SOUTH AND WEST SOME REDUCED VISIBILITY, SOME KIND OF HEAVY VIEW UP WEST DES MOINES TO CLEAR BUT DOWN IN LA MON AT THIS HOUR AT LEAST CLEAR ISH. IT IS MAINLY CENTRAL IN NORTH CENTRAL IOWA WHERE THESE LOWEST VISIBILITIES ARE HERE AT THIS HOUR. AND IT JUST DIFFERS A LOT FROM PLACE TO PLACE. FOR EXAMPLE HERE AT DES MOINES METRO ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CITY FROM THE AIRPORT YOU HAD THREE MILES VISIBILITY TO ANKENY. IT’S ONLY 3/10 MILES. SO YOU WILL HAVE ONE OF THOSE MORNINGS WHEN YOU’RE PROBABLY FINE. AND THEN VISIBILITY COULD SUDDENLY COME IN AS YOU DRIVE THROUGH. TEENS AND SINGLE POINTS FOR THE TEMPERATURES NOW AS YOU DRIVE NORTH, ESPECIALLY ON HIGHWAY 20 NORTH, SOUTH AND EAST, YOU HAVE ABOUT THIRTY. THERE THE CLOUDS SIT HERE AT THIS HOUR. AS WE GO THROUGH TODAY WE WILL LIKELY SEE THAT SOME PATCHES OF THIS WILL DISSOLVE DURING THE MORNING, and then the clouds will begin to fill up again with higher level clouds as we head from the south and west towards the afternoon driving, we’ll probably end up near FREEZING FOR THE TEMPERATURES HERE LATER TODAY. TONIGHT WILL BE THE STORY OF A SNOW THAT CONTINUES AFTER THIS INCREASE IN CLOUDS. THIS WILL BE MAINLY A SOUTHEAST AND EASTERN IOWA THING. I THINK AFTER MIDNIGHT AND THIS TIME TOMORROW TOMORROW THERE WILL PROBABLY STILL BE FLYING A FEW FLAKES IN THIS PART OF THE STATE. FAST WILL FOLLOW ANOTHER SYSTEM TOMORROW IN THE DAY. THIS IS WHEN I THINK CENTRAL IOWA MIGHT GET SOME SNOWFLAKES OUT. NOT HARD. THESE DON’T BEAT BIG, POWERFUL SYSTEMS HARD, BUT SOME SNOW WILL FALL TOMORROW AFTERNOON. AND WHEN THIS IS DONE THE COLDER BREEZE WILL WORK HERE IN TOMORROW NIGHT UNTIL THURSDAY. THEY WILL BE DRY ON THURSDAY. ALSO LOOK AT THIS TEMPERATURE DROPP, FREEZING TODAY, NEAR 30 TOMORROW, AND THEN WE JUST FEEL THE INDIVIDUAL DIGITS AS WE DRIVE TOWARDS THURSDAY AFTERNOON. AND THEN ANOTHER SNOW SHOT WHILE HEADING TOWARDS FRIDAY. FROM NORTH AND WEST A DIFFERENT SYSTEM SUPPLIES HERE. AGAIN NOT HEAVY BUT STILL SOME SNOW. SO TONIGHT SNOW INTO TOMORROW, MAINLY AS WE MENTIONED A SOUTHEAST IOWA THING, LA MONNAIE OR BACK TOWARDS CENTERVILLE, OTTUMWA, IOWA CITY, DAVENPORT AND SO ON. MAYBE ONE INCH TO THREE INCHES. AND THEN DURING THE DAY I THINK IT’S WHEN THE REST OF US MAYBE SEE UP AN INCH IN TOTAL SNOWFALL. SO THIS IS TOMORROW TODAY. EARLY FOG TODAY, MORE CLOUDS IN THE AFTERNOON. 32, THAT HIGH HERE IN DES MOINES TONIGHT, MAYBE A FEW FLAKES HERE IN THE SUBWAY REGION. NOW DO NOT THINK ABOUT MUCH COLLECTION, AGAIN AGAIN IN THE SOUTHEAST YOU HAVE TO GO. BUT TONIGHT, UPPER TWENTY NOT TO GET COLD. WE HAVE A COLD BUT THAT STARTS LATE THIS WEEKEND AND STARTS UNTIL EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE END OF THE MONTH IS COMING BUT IT WON’T FEEL WARMER AS WE GO TOWARDS FEBRUARY. WE WILL FIGHT TO GET INTO DOUBLE
