  • This is the sixth-ever meeting between the Cyclones and the Panthers and the first since 2017. Each meeting was played at the Hilton Coliseum, where the Cyclones lead 4-1 in the series. head coach from Milwaukee TJ Otzelberger meets the Panthers for the second time.

  • Sunday is the 200th game as head coach TJ Otzelberger. He holds a 123-76 record as a head coach, including 24-13 at Iowa State.

  • With three players who have scored 1,000 points or more in their careers, Iowa State is one of 13 schools in the state with three or more.

  • The State of Iowa signed the highest-ranking recruiting class in school history during the signing period that fall. The class ranks sixth in the nation on 247Sports and Rivals and seventh on ESPN.

  • Earlier this week, two members of the Class of 2023 were added to Jersey Mike’s Naismith High School Boys Preseason Watch List. Five-star signee Omaha Biliew and four-star signee Milan Momcilovic were added to the list.

  • Iowa State has 31 games on the schedule again this season. The table includes 17 home games, including eight non-conference competitions. The table includes at least 12 games against the qualifiers for the 2022 NCAA tournament.

  • Last week, Milwaukee went 2-1 in their first three games. The Panthers defeated the Milwaukee School of Engineering 102-46, lost to Purdue 53-84 and defeated Cardinal Stritch 112-38.

  • Four Panthers averaged double-digit points last week. Angelo Stuart led the Panthers’ offense last week averaging 14.7 points, followed by BJ Freeman (13.5), Elijah Jamison (11.3) and Ahmad Rand (10.7).
