Hawkeyes sign Ladji Dembele, full signing class of 2023

The Class of 2023 in Iowa grew by one. Fran McCaffery and the Hawkeyes yesterday announced the signing of three-star big man Ladji Dembele from St Benedict’s Prep.

Dembele is a 6-foot-9, 250-pound forward from Newark, NJ who has played the past two seasons at St. Benedict’s Prep. He averaged 16 points, 12 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 assists last season while shooting on a 52 percent clip from the field, including 36 percent on 21 made 3-pointers .
