IOWA CITY — More than 4,000 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa have been named to the deans’ list for the fall semester of 2022. Dean’s list status was earned by 714 freshman students in the fall semester of 2022 in Iowa, only 1,268 sophomores, only 1,559 third-year students, and only 2,045 fourth-year students.
Guidelines for inclusion in the list are:
- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Education, College of Engineering, Tippie College of Business, and University College students who achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of UI- graded academic achievements during a specific semester or a summer session and who have no semester hours with “I” (incomplete) or “O” (no grade given) in the same semester are recognized by being included in the dean’s list for this semester
- Undergraduate students at Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine with fewer than 12 semester hours of graded credits, if deemed appropriate by the college
- College of Nursing students who are taking clinical courses and have a total of 12 semester hours of earned credit, of which eight semester hours are graded credits with a GPA of 3.50 or higher
